Your SoHo Fall Guide: Crisp Days and Cozy Nights at SOHOSQ

Fall Has Arrived in SoHo

There's a moment every October when London earns its Forest City nickname all over again. The trees along the Thames turn copper and gold, the air gets that first crisp edge, and suddenly a warm drink and a good blanket feel like the best plan in the world.

At SOHOSQ, fall is one of our favourite seasons. You're a short walk from the river, minutes from downtown, and home to amenities built for the nights when you'd rather stay in. Here's our guide to enjoying autumn in SoHo, whether you're out exploring or settling in.

Step Outside: Fall Right in Your Neighbourhood

Walk the Thames. The river is just minutes from your door, and the Thames Valley Parkway is at its most colourful right now. Grab a coffee, lace up, and follow the path as far as the leaves take you. Pro tip: golden hour comes early this time of year, so a late-afternoon walk is the perfect excuse to step away from the laptop.

Pedal to Springbank Park. Follow the river west and you'll reach Springbank Park, one of the city's best spots for fall colour. It's a scenic ride or a long, rewarding walk on a sunny weekend.

Shop local at Covent Garden Market. Downtown's market is an easy trip from SoHo and a fall favourite for seasonal produce, baked goods and handmade finds. Stock up on squash, apples and fresh bread for a weekend of cooking at home.

Catch a game downtown. Fall means hockey season in London. Head to Canada Life Place for a London Knights game and get swept up in one of the loudest crowds in the OHL.

Venture a Little Further

Head to the farm. A short drive gets you to some of the region's best fall spots. Apple Land Station in Dorchester and Heeman's in Thorndale are local favourites for apples, pumpkins and seasonal decor to bring home.

Browse The Market at Western Fair. Weekend market days bring fresh produce, local food vendors and artisans together under one roof. It's a great way to spend a slow Saturday morning.

Get a head start on the holidays. As fall turns to winter, London's holiday markets and craft fairs start popping up across the city. Don't miss the Santa Clause Parase on Saturday, November 14th, check out the CPKC Holiday Train on Saturday, November 21st, and the Holly Jolly Holiday Market at Covent Gardens starts December 4th!

Stay In: Cozy Season at SOHOSQ

When the temperature drops, you don't have to go far for a good night. SOHOSQ's amenities are made for fall.

Host a scary movie night. Book the Theater Room, dim the lights and queue up a Halloween classic. Bring the popcorn and a few neighbours.

Throw a harvest dinner. The Party Room is the perfect spot for a Friendsgiving or potluck when your suite can't fit the whole crew.

Game night, any night. Rainy evening? The Games Room is ready for a little friendly competition.

Keep your routine going. Shorter days make it tempting to skip a workout. With a Fitness Centre steps from home, there's no cold walk to the gym.

Work from somewhere new. Swap the kitchen table for the Co-working Space, or settle into the Library Lounge with a book and a warm drink.

Soak up the last sunny days. Before winter arrives, catch a crisp afternoon on the Outdoor Terrace. Bring a sweater and a hot coffee.

At home, make it cozy. Throw a soft blanket over the couch, add a few warm-toned lamps and let those floor-to-ceiling windows frame the changing colours outside.

Make SOHOSQ Home This Fall

There's no better season to settle into a new home. SOHOSQ offers studio to three-bedroom suites with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and floor-to-ceiling windows, all in a professionally managed Medallion community.
